How does he work?

The ombudsman works as a high commissioner of the Town Council Plenum without the imperative mandate of any municipal member or organ.
He is not given instructions from any authority and he exerts his duties with full independence and according to his criteria. He researches and finds solutions to the cases initiated by him and to the claims he has been placed by citizens.
His services are free of charge and the participation of a lawyer or attorney is not required.
The ombudsman may propose to the organisms and authorities affected, within the scope of the legislation, different solutions for settlement that may lead to a positive and fast solution of the claims.
