The local ombudsmen of the Balearic Islands demand the "Síndic/a de Greuges"

In May 2023, the delegation of the Ombudsman of the Balearic Islands demanded compliance with the Balearic Statute through a document delivered to all political groups with parliamentary representation to establish the regional Ombudsman's Office.

All parties, except for VOX, which advocated for a delegation of the Ombudsman in the Islands, recognized the failure to establish the regional ombudsman's office as a historical debt to the citizens. The commitment of the parties, regardless of who would make up the new parliament, was to include this issue on their agendas.

The Local Ombudsman pledged to monitor the matter and develop a timetable that would make the regional ombudsman's office possible after 40 years of its absence. SEE ATTACHED DOCUMENT.
