The DGT reminds us of the regulatory changes for Personal Mobility Vehicles (VMP) that will come into effect in January 2024.

The issue of VMPs (Personal Mobility Vehicles), commonly known as electric scooters, is a matter that has greatly concerned the Citizen's Advocate. From our institution, we've had numerous meetings with different social stakeholders, political authorities, the Madrid Traffic Department (DGT), and also with some individuals who have been victims of accidents caused by these vehicles.

Among the entities the Citizen's Advocate has worked with in our community, ARCA stands out, both for its involvement in seeking solutions and for the initiatives carried out. One notable campaign is "PATINETES Y BICICLETAS A RAYA"

Today, the DGT has issued a nationwide reminder, stating that starting from January 22nd, all VMPs purchased must comply with the certifications required by the regulations.
