Success of the public at the presentation of the 2023 Report

The citizens of Palma and civic entities clearly showed their support for the institution of the Ombudsman with their presence on April 23rd, and with a long and unanimous ovation following the presentation of the Report "Memoria" particularly after Mrs. Moilanen's response to criticisms from some municipal groups regarding the need for the institution in our city.

At the extraordinary session, in addition to council members from both the governing and opposition parties, attendees included: representatives from the Local Police Department, the Director of the Balearic Office for Childhood and Adolescence, one of the directors general from the Ministry of Families and Social Affairs, the Illustrious Bar Association of the Balearic Islands, and the Vice President of Fòrum de Síndics i Síndiques de Catalunya, representing public entities.

Regarding social entities and citizens, the following were present:

• The Federation of Parents' Associations of Students of Mallorca - FAPA Mallorca

• The Palma Aquarium Foundation
• Consubal
• ARCA
• The Association ADIS - Dignity and Solidarity
• The "Nova vida" Association

Finally, we had the pleasure of welcoming some of the individuals who, firsthand, have been the subject of the Ombudsman's work. We were very honored to have the presence of the person who, with their claim and perseverance, initiated the claim for lack of accessibility in the Plaza Major area, and thanks to whom there is now an elevator between Plaza Mayor and La Rambla.
