Meeting with de Senior Citizens Area

The Citizen's Defender has met today with the Councilor for Senior Citizens and its general director to address various mutually interesting topics.

The cross-cutting nature of the Senior Citizens Delegated Area means that many of the recommendations presented by the Defender fall within the competence of Senior Citizens. For example, issues such as municipal delays in granting parking for people with reduced mobility, the need to facilitate access to rights for the elderly, and the eradication of administrative barriers that particularly affect this group have been discussed.

The Councilor has expressed her willingness to maintain proactive collaboration between the Defender and her Area. Furthermore, she has announced some upcoming developments that she will share soon and has committed to officially conveying her acceptance of RAS 5/2023, dated November 16, concerning the eradication of ageism.
